Racing Begins: 12:00 PM

Awards: 1:00 PM (pending race conclusion)

 

  • Top 3 placers from each den at their pack pine wood derby races are allowed to race at the GHL District PWD.
  • Racers will race in their respective den levels against other racers from packs within the GHL district:
    • Lions, Tigers, Wolfs, Bears, WEBELOS & AOL 
  • All PWD cars will be inspected during the check-in process on the day of the race. If a PWD car fails to meet any of the guidelines outline in the “Chattahoochee Council Pinewood Derby Rules” The racer will have until the posted check-in close time to make any adjustments. If the car fails to meet the guidelines by the Check-in close time the car will be disqualified from the race. PLEASE REVIEW THE “CHATTACHOOCHEE COUNCIL PINEWOOD DERBY RULES”!!!
  • Once the PWD has passed inspection and has officially been checked in for the race. The cars cannot be handled by anyone other than the race officials for the duration of the race.
  • Awards will be given to the top 3 placers for each den level, GHL Fastest Overall & Best In Show categories.
  • PROXY RACERS:  Absentee racers will be allowed to race in their respective dens. All other rules and regulations apply. 
  • OUTLAW CLASS: This is a class for cub scout family members and friends. Both registrations and the registration fee is required for each car. This class of PWD cars DOES NOT need to meet the guidelines stated in the "Chattahoochee Council Pinewood Derby Rules" and therefore will not advance to the Council Pinewood Derby race. The track will accommodate a car that is a total of 5 inches tall. If the car has the potential to damage the track, that car can be subject to disqualification at the race director's discretion.

Cancellation Policy
100% refund will be granted if requested on or before February 15, 2024. 50% refund will be granted if requested on or before March 1, 2024 at noon. All refund requests must be in writing to Janine.Fessler@scouting.org No refunds will be processed if requested after March 1, 2024. Refunds do not include credit card convenience fees.
