Summer is here and so are camp opportunities! For one full week, your child will explore Science in wacky and weird ways.

  • Marble Mazes
  • Chemistry with Legos
  • The ecosystem in a bottle
  • Rainbow in a Glass
  • Tornado in a bottle
  • Elephant toothpaste
  • Make your own Rock candy
  • Sprouting sweet potatoes
  • Popsicle stick LED flashlight

AND MUCH MORE..... 

Youth attending camp will be introduced to Cub Scout shooting sports (BB, archery, slingshots), the Cub Scout Outdoor Activity Award, portions of the Cub Scout Nova Awards, and portions of adventure loops for their rank like Paws on the Path, Webelos Walkabout, Fun, Feathers, and Ferns. At the end of the week, your Scout will have a list showing the advancements he or she has earned. 

Registration:

Cub Scouts, Siblings, and Friends that just completed kindergarten* through 4th grade may attend.

Non-Member sign up includes sign up fees for Scouting with a $20.00 Discount

*Please note youth entering 1st Grade must have a parent at camp with them each day.​*  

Tentative Schedule:
Early Drop off 7:30 am
Opening Flag 8 am
Program starts at 8:15 am
LUNCH 11:30 am
SNACK 2:45 pm
Closing Flag 4:45 pm
Program ends at 5:00 pm
Last Pick up by 5:30 pm

** Times are central. 

Important Items to Note:

  • Parents should attend the orientation Saturday, July 24that 3:30 pm for a more detailed schedule and important camp information.
  • Campers should arrive each day with a water bottle and a day pack (with a change of clothes).
  • There may be times during the week your camper may get wet. Please be sure to provide your camper with a sack lunch each day.
  • All campers and volunteers must wear close-toed shoes at all times. Please do not send your youth to camp in flip-flops or slip-on shoes.
  • An A-B Medical Form is required for anyone staying at camp during the week. Medications must be checked in with the first aid volunteer at the beginning of camp. 

Volunteers Needed!

Our camp is not successful without help from volunteers and youth. We will need Adult Volunteers to run stations. Scouts BSA 1st Class rank or above are encouraged to volunteer as Troop Guides. There is no cost to register but please let us know you are planning to volunteer. 

 

If you are able to volunteer anytime during the week, please let us know by emailing Jay Knorr at jayknorr@me.com or Sara Banks at sara.banks@scouting.org.  We are happy to work with volunteers' schedules. Please consider the following options. 

 

  • The entire week
  • Volunteer M/W/F
  • Volunteer Tue / Thurs
  • Volunteer all week from 7:15 am – 12:30 pm
  • Volunteer all week from 12:00 pm – 5:45 pm
