The Fundamentals of Training is intended to introduce teaching techniques and skills to new and current trainers. Pack Trainers are required to have this training to be considered position trained plus the Pack Committee training.

Trainers Edge is an additional opportunity to enhance their abilities. Trainers edge focuses on the use of the E.D.G.E training method. Completion of Trainers Edge is also a requirement to be on Wood badge and NYLT staff.
