WEIRD SCIENCE is coming to Cub Scouting this Summer. Cub Scouts will have an opportunity to earn NOVA awards and complete electives towards their ranks. Tigers are not eligible for NOVA awards, but that is okay we have an amazing introduction to NOVA that will surely get them to want to earn it
Campers should arrive each day with their mask, water bottle, and a day pack (with a change of clothes). Please ensure that all personal items are labeled with your child’s name. There may be times during the week your camper may get wet or dirty. Please be sure to provide your camper with a sack lunch, Monday - Thursday. Friday we will serve Pizza. All campers and volunteers must wear close-toed shoes at all times. Please do not send your youth to camp in flip-flops or slip-on shoes.
An A-B Medical Form is required for anyone staying at camp during the week. Medications must be checked in with the first aid volunteer at the beginning of camp. Please inform our staff if your child has Special Needs, Allergies, or Special dietary needs. Parents should attend the orientation Saturday, July 17 (time to be determined) for a more detailed schedule and important camp information, your child will have a chance to meet their Day Camp Counselor and NOVA Mentors.
1st through 5th grade youth may attend. Any youth that has just completed Kindergarten going into 1st grade must have a parent or legal guardian over the age of 18 accompany them the entire time they are at camp.
Adult Volunteers are needed to staff and run stations. If volunteering, Youth Protection Training is required for all adults. Training may be taken at my.scouting.org
Scouts BSA youth, Tenderfoot rank or above are encouraged to volunteer as Den Chiefs with Scoutmaster approval. Den Chief Training or NYLT is preferred but not necessary. Youth on youth protection class will be offered.
